PNG to JPG Converter
Turn PNG images into much smaller JPG files. JPG does not support transparency, so you choose what color fills transparent areas.

Output format: JPG
JPEG has no transparency channel. Any see-through parts of your PNG will be filled with the background color you pick (white by default).
PNG to JPG — frequently asked questions
Why convert PNG to JPG?
File size. A photo stored as PNG can be several megabytes; as JPG it is often 5–10× smaller and uploads, emails, and loads faster — with quality that still looks great at 85–95%.
What happens to transparent parts of my PNG?
They are filled with the background color you choose above. If your logo has a transparent background and you convert with a white fill, you'll get the logo on white. Pick a color that matches where the image will be displayed.
Will quality suffer?
JPG is lossy, so a small amount of detail is traded for size. At 90% quality most people can't tell. For pixel-perfect needs (line art, text screenshots), PNG remains the better choice — sharp edges can look slightly soft in JPG.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser.
